Zebra License and Legal Information This User License Agreement is a legal agreement between you and Urs Heckmann ("author") for the software ("Zebra", "Zebralette", "ZRev") accompanying this document. By installing, copying or using this software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this license agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, don't install the software and remove any already installed parts of it and any audio material you already processed with Zebra from any data retrieval devices you stored them on. 1. Software License The author grants you and anybody else who gets hold of this software the license to: - test this software in its demo mode, where testing means that you do not use it in any other way than checking out its usefulness for your explicitly own needs - use it, after you registered/bought this software according to actual conditions of registration (see 4.), for any private, commercial or otherwise professional use that doesn't conflict with any other terms of this agreement - use it for press-related publication within any media, limited to a.) any textual description or recitation of Zebra's functional and musical aspects, b.) printed or otherwise visual demonstration of the graphical user interface and c.) publication of audio examples that explicitly demo Zebra's capabilities, only if any of these publications contain explicit information about Zebra's name, author and the address of his website (http://www.u-he.com), unless stated otherwise by the author in written form You may freely distribute the demo version of this software provided following conditions are met: - this license agreement must accompany the software - you do not charge any money for the software or its distribution without express written permission from the author - the software is not exploited commercially in any way - you do not give away any serial codes or means that circumvent the limitations of the demo mode You may further not: - modify Zebra in any way other than its core functionality as an Audio Unit or VST plugin allows (VST plugin currently not available) - reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or isolate any parts of Zebra or any related documents including, but not limited to, graphics, algorithms or code fragments - remove or change any textual or graphical information like labels or copyright notices 2. Copyright Zebra is protected by German copyright laws and international treaties. All copyrights in Zebra are owned by Urs Heckmann. VST is a trademark of Steinberg Media AG. AudioUnit is a new plugin format by Apple Inc. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners. 3. Disclaimer of Warranty Zebra is provided to the user on an "AS IS" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied including, but not limited to, any warranty of merchantability, usefulness and fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The author does not warrant that the functions contained in Zebra will meet your requirements, or that it is free of any error or that any bugs in Zebra will be corrected. The user therefor takes the entire risk of using Zebra and shall in no way claim the author's responsibility for any damages that arise out of the use or abuse, including but not limited to, misinterpretation of functionality of Zebra. 4. Registration The actual procedures, terms, conditions and benefits of registration, ordering and/or buying Zebra can be found on Urs Heckmann's website http://www.u-he.com or be requested by e-mail to urs@u-he.com. Giving away serial codes or reverse engineering the registration scheme or otherwise taking action that infringes the terms of this license will be prosecuted. 5. License Transfer The author offers the licensee the possibility to have his license transferred ("resell") to a thrid party under following conditions: The licensee must had the license obtained at least 9 months prior to the transfer. The licensee informs the author via email (see 4. Registration) about his intention to transfer the license in a reasonable period of time before the transfer is to happen (2 days is sufficient). The licensee does not give away his serial number to the new licensee. More details on the actual procedure can be had upon notification of the author.
